Storyplay is back at the Library!
Porridge & Play Whiteinch Week 1
Wednesday 12th October 2022
Our first session at Whiteinch was super exciting with lots of new faces and a whole load of imaginative adventures.
We all played the Funky Chicken and learned some new animals too! We met:
Eeman’s jumpy kangaroo
Ellie’s silly cow
Dàire’s T Rex
Kouser’s Kangaroo
and Kemjii’s lazy cow!
Flying Balloons
We were having so much fun we thought it might also be good to go flying in the sky with our Balloons…
We travelled across the whole world and ended up in the Antarctic where it was so chilly we needed extra jumpers. We actually saw a Fairyland cloud and a castle, a butterfly, ducks, an orange fish, a slide, a unicorn and dinosaurs including a T Rex.
A dragon breathed some fire on the ice castle (I think he was trying to warm us up!) and meanwhile, we found a place where they were giving out ice-creams! Hunter really enjoyed his strawberry one and Virginia’s tasted of onion!
Dressing up as Grannies!
We opened up two big bags of fantastic Dressing Up clothes and we all got very excited. So many colours and styles to choose from! Once we dressed up, we changed into a variety of characters and I was lucky enough to interview many of them. So many delightful outfits and among them were
Grace the ninja
Kemjii who flew in on a magic bus and was going to Nigeria
Ellie the Nature Queen
Zhelan a flower fairy
Ieugenia the Princess
A Picnic!
After that we were hungry adventurers and needed a bite to eat. We munched on tasty rolls with cheese and tomatoes, lentil soup and some healthy fruit. Veronika was tucking into her roll and very much enjoying the snack after all our travels.
At Licketyspit, we love to draw and show how marvellous our adventures have been and today, we were honoured to have a selection of great artists in our gallery!
Looking forward to more adventures next time! Where will we go next week? I wonder…
See you then!

Eman did a butterfly and she liked dressing up best.
Jude did a house with the sun and liked Grandma Grandma.
Ellie did a picture of where she lives and a castle with magic wands that can be cut up to make little ones. She felt excited.
Kemjii drew a rainbow and a pink pig and liked Funky Chicken
“This is really great! Can we come back?”
