A Rollicking time in Ruchill!!
Porridge & Play Ruchill & Online Celebration
Saturday 19th November 2022
We had an amazing time at our Porridge & Play Ruchill & Online celebration!
It was so lovely to see all our families together in one big space and wonderful to join up with our online crew too and have so much fun together!
We all started with a brilliant boogie which warmed us up ready for an afternoon adventure. As well as the Funky Chicken, we also met the Funky Unicorn, the Cheeky Cheetah and the Funky Dinosaur and many other fascinating creatures!
Then, when we dressed up as forest creatures, Sean turned into a fox, Gabby became a squirrel, Fares was a super spinning animal, Bukky was a cat and we also had a buffalo, a bear, elephants, deer and a spiritual animal!
We all looked for the Magic Ball and Gabby found it very quickly, which was marvellous, and with so many friends, we blew it up in no time at all.
Very soon we found ourselves in a forest and as we moved through the trees, we spied a bear who had lost his cave, so we had to help him find it again.
When we got there it was very dark, but also nice and cosy and we soon realised that the bear was hungry.
Well, we wanted to make the bear happy again and luckily we figured out that Bear liked honey and meat, so we all fed him just what he liked and he was cheery again!
Lucky we had plenty of honey and meat with us!
After that we headed over to a lovely stream and were just about to go for a swim when a red-hooded creature appeared – he told us he had a secret and the secret was that he was actually a Wolf!
He’d drunk a potion on the Magic Mountain which had turned him into a Wolf and now he roamed the forest with a big fancy watch on his wrist and told all the other creatures when it was time to do things like read or draw or have a cup of tea!
He wasn’t the only wolf either – we also met Wolfy Emmanuel who lives in a cave and eats fish and Wolfy Anaya who lives in the mountain, grows her own beans, eats elephants, and actually got her watch from the top of the mountain!
At one point we met three brother wolves all snuggled together in the forest – they were Wolfy Mohammed, Osman and Fares and they ate fish and forest creatures and food!
Their watches were very bright and colourful and they got them from the shop, and from their dad.
We had such a fabulous time in the forest and when we arrived back home, we had a feast of fruit and bread and soup and delicious cupcakes. What a wonderful party!
We’ve had so much fun on our adventures with you at Ruchill and can’t wait to see you all again very soon!
Remember the Christmas ceilidh is on Friday 9th December 5-7.30pm at our home, the CCH.
