Big Porridge & Play 2023

Porridge & Play 2023 - back in 7 communities! So far in 2023 the Licketyspit team has delivered after school and weekend Porridge & Play in community partner venues and online, as well as exciting Picnic & Play trips to outdoor, arts and cultural spaces over the summer holidays. Bridgeton (May 23) Castlemilk (July 23) Cranhill (May 23) Govan (May 23) Still to come... Porridge & Play is coming to Maryhill, Whiteinch & our Online community this Autumn! REGISTER YOUR INTEREST. Maryhill (Tues 3rd Oct, Fri 13th, Tues 17th, 24th, 31st, ) Online (October block) Whiteinch (Wednesdays; Oct 18th, 25th, 1st Nov, 8th, 15th) Local families with 3-8 year olds can take part in the sessions which include Storyplay games, rhymes, songs, dressing up & imaginary play, a healthy and nutritious communal meal and shared reflective drawing. Older and younger siblings can also attend. Picnic & Play at the Children’s Wood

Picnic & Play at the Children’s Wood! Thursday 27th July 11.30am - 2pm The Children’s Wood & North Kelvin Meadow 76 Kelbourne Street, Glasgow, G20 8PR  Let your imagination go wild with our Storyplay games and enjoy a delicious picnic with other local families. Picnic & Play at the Tall Ship

Picnic & Play at the Tall Ship! Thursday 27th July 11.30am - 2pm Meet us there! The address is Tall Ship Glenlee, 150 Pointhouse Place, G3 8RS. Note that the ship is on the north side of the river, near Whiteinch and next to the Riverside Museum. Partick train, subway and bus station is a 15 minute walk away, or it's about a 30 minute walk from Whiteinch Library. Let your imagination go wild with our Storyplay games and enjoy a delicious picnic with other local families. Places are limited, so please get in touch if you would like to attend. Picnic & Play Cranhill

Join Licketyspit and your Porridge & Play pals for... Picnic & Play to Balloch Castle Country Park! Friday 28th July 10am-4pm Meet at Cranhill Development Trust(109 Bellrock Street, G33 3HE) to get the minibus together. Let your imagination go wild with our Storyplay games, enjoy a delicious picnic with friends and explore the wonderful country park and castle on the bonnie bonnie banks of Loch Lomond! Places are limited, so please get in touch if you would like to attend. Participants at Porridge & Play Cranhill 2023 will be given priority places. Sign up

Big Porridge & Play Online 2024!

Big Porridge & Play Glasgow is back for 4 weeks on Saturday 27th April, May 4th, May 11th & May 18th from 11am-12.30pm for families that don't live near enough to access our 6 Porridge & Play Hubs. Big Porridge & Play 2024: Maryhill

This April & May Porridge & Play is BACK in Maryhill for 4 weeks! Sessions will be on Tuesdays from 4-6.15pm at Oakgrove Primary School, 20 St Peter's Street, G4 9PW. The first session will be on Tuesday 30th April. Spaces for Porridge & Play are limited so if you want to come along we advise you sign up ASAP (see sign up details below). If we get a lot of families signing up we might not be able to guarantee everyone a space (it's important we stick to participant numbers which allow the sessions to be most enjoyable & safe for everyone). Please don't let this put you off signing up however, if you let us know you want to come and we're fully booked, we will put you on our waiting list and if a space comes available for you and your family we will get in touch. The first session will be on Tuesday September 3rd. Spaces for Porridge & Play are limited so if you want to come along we advise you sign up ASAP (see sign up details below). If we get a lot of interest, we might not be able to guarantee everyone a space (it's important we stick to participant numbers which allow the sessions to be most enjoyable & safe for everyone).
