Join us for the launch of our *NEW FILM* 'Margaret & Magnus Visit the National Museum of Scotland' From dinosaurs & dodos to ancient Egyptian toys and games, this Storyplay adventure will inspire and amaze the whole family! Watch the film, then meet Margaret & Magnus! Along with friendly staff who'll tell you everything you need to know to have an amazing trip to the Museum. If you've never been to the Museum of Scotland before, this will be a brilliant fun filled introduction to it. Picnic & Play at the Hidden Gardens!

Hidden Gardens

Children aged 3-8 and their families are invited to the magical hidden gardens for a day of imaginary play, delicious food and discovering nature’s secrets! From 11:00 – 12:30 Licketyspit will lead a Storyplay session in the secret glade, where you’ll take part in games, songs and stories from around the world. At 12:30, Kin Kitchen will serve a delicious picnic prepared by their volunteers, which we can all share together in the garden. The first part of the event (Storyplay & Picnic) must be booked in advance by emailing ruby@licketyspit.com or texting 07413 800 342. Sign up now! Drop in Workshops From 13:00-15:00 you can take part in a range of family workshops in the garden that are drop-in. These include: creating your own window-ledge planter, making a lavender pouch to put under your pillow, taking a guided tour round the gardens, sharing recipes and culinary creations. The workshops will be run by Hidden Gardens & Kin Kitchen. These events are part of Refugee Festival Scotland 2023. They will be an opportunity to connect with your children, your imagination and the natural world. We hope they plant seeds for stories, friendships and community to grow. Picnic & Play to Balloch Castle Country Park

Join Licketyspit and your Porridge & Play pals for... Picnic & Play to Balloch Castle Country Park! Friday 7th July 10am-4pm Meet at Community Central Hall, 304 Maryhill Road, G20 7YE (near the Lidl at the bottom of Maryhill Road) to get the bus. Let your imagination go wild with our Storyplay games, enjoy a delicious picnic with friends and explore the wonderful country park and castle on the bonnie bonnie banks of Loch Lomond! Places are limited, so please get in touch if you would like to attend. Participants at Big Porridge & Play Online will be given priority places. Big Porridge & Play 2024: Maryhill

This April & May Porridge & Play is BACK in Maryhill for 4 weeks! Sessions will be on Tuesdays from 4-6.15pm at Oakgrove Primary School, 20 St Peter's Street, G4 9PW. The first session will be on Tuesday 30th April. Spaces for Porridge & Play are limited so if you want to come along we advise you sign up ASAP (see sign up details below). If we get a lot of families signing up we might not be able to guarantee everyone a space (it's important we stick to participant numbers which allow the sessions to be most enjoyable & safe for everyone). Please don't let this put you off signing up however, if you let us know you want to come and we're fully booked, we will put you on our waiting list and if a space comes available for you and your family we will get in touch.
