Find out what the Cranhill Group did during our Porridge & Play Session at Cranhill Development Trust! Thursday 23rd May Goodbye for now - not forever! We had such a fabulous time at Licketyspit this week! Our adventures took us deep into the forest, where we found a sunny glade full of marvellous creatures! Pela the Rabbit was hiding under a big old oak tree and Stella, a fluttering butterfly, sat on a beautiful sunflower and seemed to know all the creatures in the forest! We listened as the birds sang a joyful song when suddenly we heard a loud howling sound. At first, we didn’t know where the sound was coming from. Then, a very fancy Wolf appeared with a very fancy watch! It was Genesis the Wolf who lived in a cave at the edge of the forest and it turned out her wolfy friend had given her the gold watch. Wolfy Genesis told us she liked to dance in the afternoon, so we had a good old boogie with her and then helped her clean her cave in the evening. She had a beautiful cave lined with red velvet and gold brocade and lots of soft cushions. It was so exciting to actually see inside a real wolfy cave! Find out what the Cranhill Group did during our Porridge & Play Session at Cranhill Development Trust! Thursday 16th May 2024 Sunshine and good times! We had a marvellous time last week at Cranhill Porridge & Play! It was a beautiful sunny day and we really enjoyed having a good dance together and showing each other all our cool dance moves! We had some new friends who came along and we all sang Icker-Ickeroooo at the tops of our voices too! Then, in the lush green grass we spied a bag of marvellous dressing up clothes and all got dressed up in some amazing colourful outfits. Steven got a great photo of us all before we began our exciting adventure heading off into the magical forest. I say magical because, pretty soon, we met some fabulous grannies in the middle of the forest! There was the wonderful Granny Genesis, who lived in a forest cave, she said she didn’t do much, just worked and ate porridge! Then as we walked, under the cherry blossom trees we heard the sound of singing and looked up to see the flying Granny Solin. She was soaring across the rainbowed sky surrounded by butterflies! Find out what the Cranhill Group did during our Porridge & Play Session at Cranhill Development Trust! Thursday 9th May 2024 Fabulous characters and hungry sea creatures! What a marvellous time we all had at Cranhill this week! We all had a great dance! Then we wrote love letters to our special people - but we dropped them & someone must have picked them up and put them in their pocket! We created some fabulous costumes to become our favourite characters: Ryan was a Tentacle Octopus from the ocean who liked to eat people in boats! Silin was a very Ancient Old Granny who had travelled all the way from Greece and liked to eat strawberries. We encountered a very clever Businessman called Ahmad who sold fancy suits. His business was called Suits Ahmad and if you ever need a suit for a special occasion, his suits are definitely the best! Then, the glamorous Aveen, who turned out to be a famous actress, all the way from Hollywood! She told us she was in the film Titanic! Then we realised that of course - we recognised her! It was so exciting to meet her! Then we bumped into another granny who lived nearby called Amber. Find out what the Cranhill Group did during our Porridge & Play Session at Cranhill Development Trust! Thursday 2nd May 2024 Big bears and scary witches! What a marvellous time we had on Thursday at Cranhill! The Funky Chicken had lots of new friends! Ryan introduced us all to the Sly Alligator, Daniel showed us the Angler Crab, Genesis found a Bad Eagle and then Beauty met a fabulous Pregnant Elephant! We all flew high up into the air and soared through the sky holding tight to our colourful balloons as we travelled from France, to Spain, then on to Guatemala, Mexico and Pakistan. We saw all the hat sellers with their beautiful tall hats, a mermaid on a skateboard, and a spectacular chocolate castle! We flew down and tried some and it tasted delicious! It was sweet - some bits tasted like vanilla and others like pineapple - and the chocolate in the moat tasted like crocodile paws! As we flew back across Glasgow, we happened upon a great gathering of witches from far and wide which was so much fun!
