Our session started with a quick walk from Churchy to go to the Glasgow Women’s Library because that’s how close this wonderful library is! We started off by singing Jelly on His Head and Grandma Grandma! Saba and Colleen were chatting away on the way to the library and were talking about how much they look forward to the sessions. Blog posts are written by André! Week 5 of Bridgeton Porridge & Play Friday 22nd April Hello and welcome back to Bridgeton Porridge & Play! It was lovely to see you again and we loved hearing about what you got up to whilst we had our break! We loved hearing from Leeanne about their family bringing our Licketyspit Playcards to their Gran’s! With Lexi making sure to let her Granny know how to play the games. Saba told us she and her children missed the session and we missed them too! Colleen said they played our games when they were away on holiday! Getting to play outside with our Licketyspit families was so much fun in the sun. We got to play a some of our favourite games like Big As A Bear, Funky Chicken, Ickerickeroo and a new one - Magic Ball. We met funky animals like Nicola’s Slimy Snake, Rayna’s Running Zebra, Colleen’s Big Cat, Mohammed’s Firey Dragon, Alan’s Scary lion, Zaina’s Orange Fox and Moira’s Singing Cow! Blog posts are written by André! Week 4 of Bridgeton Porridge & Play Friday 1st April There was lots of excitement on Friday 1st April at Church House for Porridge & Play! We were all like one big family! Moira & Leeanne asked us, ‘What are we gonna do for the next two weeks?!’ since we will be having a two week break for the holidays!  So we whipped out our Storyplay packs with our Playcards, crayons and notebooks for Reflective Drawing at home! We also had lots of fun information and game sheets to bring some of the magic we have at Porridge & Play home with you this break. We always do Reflective Drawing at the end of our Storyplay sessions so we can enjoy thinking about all the great things that have happened when we all played the games together - The funny animals we invented - the characters we dressed up as - the adventures we had in our balloons - the funny things people said - and all the things we imagined! Blog posts are written by André! Week 3 of Bridgeton Porridge & Play Friday 25th March We loved seeing everyone once again for our Bridgeton Porridge and Play session on Friday 25th March! It was a beautifully sunny day so we played outside in the sun. Outside play is so important for our development, we learn and grow so much when we play outside together. Some of our favourite games made an appearance this week. We started off being as BIG as a BEAR! We then met the Funky Chicken and some amazingly fun animals! Soon we met Fred who had Jelly on his Head! We all got together for some Dessing Up, we love Dressing Up at Licketyspit! We can create creative and fun costumes from just the clothes we have laying around our own homes. Maybe you could do some dressing up in the Easter Holidays? Once we were dressed up, we became Pirates returning from the deep deep sea to sing a song about our Grandma. Friday 11th March We have had so much fun at our first Porridge and Play Bridgeton session on Friday 11th March at the wonderful Church House where we played all sorts of games outside with our coats and jackets on but not before we had a lovely feast with soup, bread and fruit all around the same table! The session was fun and it was so much fun to meet again with all our families! We really loved seeing all the fantastic grown-ups fully taking part! Seeing Moria take part in Funky Chicken was a real highlight. We sang our rhymes load and proud shouting out Big as a Bear! Right from the start. It was so lovely to see you all again and we can’t wait for even more weeks of fun! Funky Chicken a whole lot of fun where we meet lots of cool animals!
