The return of the Jelly Catwalk!!!
To land on a cloud would be a fine thing, but to land on a jelly would be a dream. What if this Jelly tasted of strawberries? And when you bounced you landed in a giant Jelly Castle?! This is what happened for us in our Magic Ball! We were greeted by a confused pink-haired Jelly Queen, who was holding her event of the year… THE JELLY CATWALK.
‘Would you like to join?’ She asked in a high pitched, wobbly voice. ‘You must dress up as a Jelly character, walk the walk, and each time the music stops… POSE!’
‘YES,’ we all cried. And our Jelly characters were invented.
Adeelah had a snake balanced on her head! Stella had ice-cream in her ears! Zoha was the doughnut girl! Anaya had scrunchies on her eyes! We walked the walk and posed until we could pose no more. And it even turned out there was a world famous French model there who exclaimed that she had never seen such amazing posing in her whole life!! 😮 What an adventure!
This week was a particularly inspired session of Big Porridge & Play Online. It was a world class demonstration of how much fun you can have with just your imagination and some friends, even when playing online!
Here’s what some of our participants had to say about it..
Risqat: I did Jelly on His Head, It says ‘oh no!’ He doesn’t like the Jelly on His Head.
Jelly on His head was my favourite part. It feels terrible to have Jelly on your head. It is uncomfortable.Temi: I drew this. This one is when i was sleeping with Jelly on My Head, it says ‘I love to sleep’ on the t-shirt. And this is when we were doing poses. Their t-shirts say ‘I love myself’ and ‘I love poses’ The I love myself one is the confident model we met.
Progress: I drew when we were all dressing up as stuff and the girl with the pink hair was telling us that we have to dress up for the competition and I also drew the flower the lady gave us [flowers] that we had to eat. The flower didn’t really taste nice. It kind of tastes like mud. I also drew the Pirate Ship there. My favourite part was when we were in the gold ball, the Magic Ball. I liked when we were zipping up the ball and we were shaking all around.
Funky Chicken Fact: Jelly has a lot of different names all over the world! In Scots Jelly is also called ‘Jeelie’ and in America they call it ‘Jell-O!’
What we thought about Week 4……
It was when we had to do a pose – that’s the girl that was asking us to do the poses, that’s my brother and that’s my sister. My Jelly character was called Princess Grace, I went to bed with a bible on my head. My favourite part was Hello My Name is Joe.
This is My Name os Joe, That’s Joe and that’s all the other people pressing the buttons, I didn’t draw the body for the boss. That’s him. That was my favourite part.
I drew when the man slept with ice-cream in his ears. That’s when he put ice-cream in his ears and that’s when it was night time and he went to bed. He was surprised by the ice-cream. That’s the moon and that’s the stars. My favourite part was the Magic Ball when it took us to new places.
So I drew when we did our poses and I also drew when we were going into the Magic Ball and when we saw the Jelly. My Name is Joe was my favourite, my favourite part of the Magic Ball was when we went inside the Magic Ball!
I tried my hardest so let’s do it! I drew me sleeping with the Jelly on my Head. Also there’s a brain inside and a candy inside. It’s a lollipop candy. My favourite part was the drawing. And this is me losing the toilet.
I drew a ship. It’s the pirate ship. On the pirate ship he just stepped on the Jelly. The ship is in Jellyland. I tasted the Jelly.
I drawed her from the Jelly on His head person with donuts on his eyes. I had scrunchies on my eyes. It says ‘my favourite part was the dancing and the Jelly on His Head.
Thank you all for coming on a Jelly Catwalk adventure with us! We can’t wait to go on even more!
